Rider Development and Data Logging – WhiteCross Suspension
Ready to launch for 2010, I am working with a cost effective data logging system which can handle multiple channel inputs, but typically uses front and rear suspension travel, wheel speed, throttle position, calculated track position, braking, gear selection and engine RPM. After each session the data is retrieved from the bike on a memory card and uploaded to a laptop computer.
For those of you who have not experienced data logging before, the benefits of being able to graphically review your session to analyse how you achieved your fastest lap and then compare other laps is very informative. You can see the effects of your control on the bike; the measurements are extremely accurate. This is not only helpful to improve the set up of the bike, but it also provides an opportunity to reduce lap times through changes in riding technique.
To experience data logging, I am offering either an outright purchase of the complete system, which will include fitting and setting it up, or I will prepare the bike so that we can quickly plug in the logging components and run test sessions. There will be an initial cost for the sensors and thereafter it will be based on a fee per session, we will work together to improve the bike set up and develop your riding on a track by track basis. The session data and settings will be burnt onto a CD and will provide a record for future reference or when you return to that track again.
