    Welcome to NG Roadracing 2021

Over the last few years our club has grown from its original roots on Airfield circuits to become second to none in this country with our range of circuits, venues and entries. This is complimented by our vastly experienced Marshalling & Technical team.  Whether you follow us to most/all venues or contribute invaluable local knowledge when we visit your favourite circuit, we are proud to have you as part of our “show” - Without your assistance there would be no racing!!!

**** We visit  Seven of the country’s top venues in 2021 ****

BRANDS HATCH   We kick off the 2021 championship season kicks off at the world famous Kent circuit. Competitors will be keen to start their season off well, with by scoring good points on the exciting Indy circuit.

DONINGTON PARK   Already vastly popular with racers and spectators, this world famous circuit now has new lease holders, who have made many very welcome improvements to facilities at this venue. As you will notice from our Calendar we are racing on the Friday and Saturday this year. Friday being a Bank Holiday

SNETTERTON 200   Since our return here a couple of seasons ago, Snett’ has already become a firm favourite in our calendar.

CADWELL PARK   With its unique features this spectacular circuit has become very popular with the NG faithful.

ANGLESEY   Is arguably one of the best rider circuits in the country, and set right on the North West coast of Wales, it is certainly the most picturesque! Come and join us for this event at Britain’s own “Philip Island”. Great excuse for a long summer weekend off work!

CASTLE COMBE   This is by far the biggest “Club” event in the country. In 2020 the crowds and races were second only to the British Superbike series. In 2021 it is sure to be one of the highlights of our season. In 2021 this is the only two wheel racing event at Combe! Definitely not one to be missed!

PEMBREY   This is the biggest “Two Wheel” event at this brilliantly tricky little circuit. This venue always provides great racing, and this year, it will be the event that decides our final championship tables.
As usual, on the Saturday evening we will provide you with a hot meal and a “free drink”

TEST DAYS   We are now holding Friday test days prior to at all of our rounds apart from Castle Combe.
I would like to thank in advance anyone who is able to assist us on these Test/Track days we will again be providing a breakfast, a cooked lunch or an evening meal, a snack pack and a pint.

    ACU MARSHAL TRAINING 2021

With the current situation regarding the virus, I have held back on setting a date for this. Further announcements will be made soon

    NEW MARSHALS ALWAYS NEEDED

As NG Roadracing grows the need for more Marshals increases.
Many of us started our Marshalling careers by being introduced by a friend already marshalling. So I ask you to look around and think if there are any folk you could introduce to the sport.
They will be sure to thank you for it, once they too discover that marshalling is what weekends were invented for.

    Finally

Please complete your Avaialability Form via the new Online Facility or return the paper form to me ASAP
Ensure your details are written clearly, especially your post code & email address where available
As usual, your passes etc. will then be sent to you a week or so prior to the date of each event you have volunteered for.

Contact me during the season with any changes to your availability.  I look forward to seeing you track side soon

How Do I Become A Road Race Marshal?

IF YOU'VE EVER BEEN TO A ROAD RACE MEETING OR SEEN ONE ON TV YOU WILL HAVE SEEN THE MARSHALS, EITHER REMOVING FALLEN BIKES AND RIDERS OR GIVING FLAG SIGNALS TO THOSE WHO ARE RACING.

    WHO ARE THEY? –
All Marshals have one thing in common, their interest in motorcycle racing, and they all want to be more involved than just a spectator
Apart from this shared interest they can and do come from all walks of life, all ages over 18, and of course both sexes. (16 and over if accompanied)

HOW MUCH TIME DO THEY GIVE? –

A Marshal is required to be on duty for the whole of practice and racing. They also attend a training day every three years.

    ADVANTAGES OF BEING A MARSHAL
    · Working with like-minded people. Shared interest.
    · Close involvement with the action.
    · Free admission to meetings.
    · Satisfaction of doing a job critical to making racing safer.
Marshals are vital. Race meetings cannot take place without them .

HOW DO I BECOME A MARSHAL, AND WHAT WILL BE EXPECTED OF ME? –

Organisers of race meetings are always happy to welcome and train new Marshals, most people start Marshalling with organisations such as ours that are local to where they live, and if they wish, may go on to also Marshal at top British National and International events. It is completely up to the individual as to how many meetings a year they attend. The only commitment required is that they turn up to those meetings for which they have volunteered.

Where ever you live, if you are interested in finding out more contact me, (Nino) via email or telephone on 07803 933130.
