2008 250GP ACU National Championship & NG Cup
We are pleased to announce that NG Road Racing will be running the 2008 250GP ACU National Championship & NG Cup.
This new series replaces the 2007 250cc Championship which ran within the Moto Star events.
All riders who have registered for the 2008 ACU series will receive a refund and a letter from the ACU in the very near future. Those riders who registered for the 2007 and/or 2008 ACU series will receive an information pack from NG Road Racing outlining full details, championship conditions and qualifying rounds.
The 250GP ACU National Championship & NG Cup will run at most of the NG Championship rounds with the first round and launch weekend being at Brands Hatch on 12th and 13th April. Along with rounds at all top venues on offer within the NG fixture list, the series will also include a visit to Castle Combe on 16th 17th August as part of the New Era event.
While the format is similar to that offered by the ACU, there will be no Championship conditions on the purchasing of tyres, and pre event open testing will be permitted at any venue where offered. The track time format over 2 day events will be open to discussion with several options available, all of which encompass value for money and that all important set up time while track time for 1 day events will include free practice, timed qualifying, and one race.
The 250GP National Championship is open to all 250cc GP competitors while points towards the “NG Cup” are only on offer to riders holding a Clubmans licence on 31st March 2008 offering a championship within a championship and providing competition in depth throughout the field.
Anyone wishing to enter the series must be a member of the NG Road Racing Club. Forms are available to download from the web site, and clearly mark on them “250GP National Championship & NG Cup” as your chosen class.
Obviously with track time at an absolute premium, on such exclusive circuits, a minimum number of 30 entrant’s is required to guarantee exclusivity at each round.
Anyone requiring more information on this series can call Steve on 07967 681639 or email
